Mission Statement

The mission of Frisbie Middle School Counseling Department is to provide relevant, comprehensive, and forward thinking programs that address the social emotional, academic, and behavioral needs of all students. This will be accomplished by designing programs that are data driven and in collaboration with parents/guardians, staff, and community members. We want to enable all students to succeed in the pathway that will allow them to be productive citizens and lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world.

 

Vision Statement

Frisbie Middle School Counseling Department  will empower all students by helping them find their unique talents that allow them to be leaders by providing a comprehensive and student center counseling program.  We will promote an environment that encourages students to take on leadership roles, create student lead programs, and make sure the campus is safe for all. In connection with teachers, staff, parents/guardians, and community member we will teach students how to be independent thinkers that are prepared for the 21st century.

Fulfilling Our Mission

The Counseling Department will fulfill its mission by:

     1. Using data to create/implement academic,social & emotional, and behavioral programs

     2. Staying up to date with current trends and research about counseling best practices

     3. Setting up protocols and systems that allow the counseling department to run efficiently

     4. Communicating the needs and best interest of students to all stakeholders

Tier 1 Interventions

Tier 1 supports of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) consists of rules, routines, and physical arrangements that are developed and taught by school staff to prevent initial occurrences of behavior the school would like to target for change. All students will receive Tier 1 supports.
